Vehicle Disposal

The Vehicle Disposal service recognises all aspects of the vehicle disposal/replacement policy, in particular any impact on funding and operational requirements. This includes a comprehensive disposal process flow including operational and financial factors.

Regular Reviews and Advanced Disposal Warnings

As vehicles are registered (new or existing) into the registration system, automatic forward triggers for possible disposal dates are recorded. These dates provide the service support team with an ample ‘in time’ opportunity to review disposal options. The system will automatically produce an ‘event date’ alert for management to consider.

The fully automated Driver Management programme provides regular updated reports – all able to be viewed using the online hub. The bespoke programme will record a variety of predictive event dates or actions for current vehicle disposal/replacement where an advance warning indication has been requested in the parameters.

The service support team will communicate with drivers, in a timely manner, the date when vehicle disposal options are likely to be considered. Driver involvement in the disposal flow is extremely important.

At an agreed time prior to disposal, a ‘vehicle condition report’ will be produced if required. This is an optional service but accurately determines the end-of-life condition and value of a vehicle prior to actual disposal.

The service support team will conduct regular reviews of the vehicle disposal policy to ensure that operational and financial best practise is reflected at all times in the disposal policy.
