Driver Training

At Fleet Service GB, we offer a comprehensive approach to fleet driver management, focusing on driver training, continuous learning and risk management. Driver training is a key component in our fleet FSGB Driver Management solution, which starts with our onboarding process called ‘Authority to Drive’.

Authority to Drive: Assessing Driver Risk

When a driver joins your fleet, the first step is completing the Authority to Drive process. This procedure gathers essential information about the driver’s experience and driving history, which is then analysed by the Achieve software hub. The software determines a driver risk score, a critical factor in our FSGB Driver Management solution, as it dictates the level and timing of the required driver training.

The Achieve fleet management software categorises drivers into four risk levels:

  • Level 1: Immediate in-vehicle training is required, indicating a higher risk score and the need for urgent intervention to improve safety.
  • Level 2: Driver training is scheduled within six months. Drivers at this level have a moderate risk score, signalling areas that need improvement.
  • Level 3: Driver training is set for 12 months. This indicates a lower risk score, with minor concerns that can be addressed with regular refreshers.
  • Level 4: Driver training is required within three years. This is the lowest risk score, where drivers are low-risk and need only periodic updates.

Once the risk score is determined, the appropriate training is automatically scheduled. Included in this training is a Wellbeing Workshop. A unique, limited numbers, classroom-based workshop. This automation simplifies fleet management, allowing your organisation to focus on operations while ensuring drivers receive necessary training.

Hierarchical Driver Training Scheduling

The Achieve fleet management software prioritises driver training based on risk score and position within the organisation. This hierarchy is essential in managing large fleets, ensuring that higher-risk drivers are trained first, mitigating potential hazards swiftly.

By integrating risk management into our FSGB Driver Management solution, Fleet Service GB ensures that critical training needs are met promptly, reducing accidents and enhancing fleet safety.

Continuous Monitoring and Updates

After initial training, the driver’s risk score is continuously monitored and updated. This ongoing assessment allows real-time adjustments to training schedules, ensuring that changes in a driver’s performance are promptly addressed. The Achieve software hub also provides periodic, customer-specific, or seasonal driving notifications via the Achieve Driver App, keeping drivers informed and reinforcing safe driving habits. The Achieve Driver App also offers access to a learning library and tailored eLearning modules for a comprehensive support solution.

Continuous monitoring is central to our fleet management strategy, ensuring that drivers consistently operate at their best. This system also allows for positive reinforcement by rewarding drivers who maintain a low-risk score while triggering interventions if the risk score increases.
