Authority to Drive

At Fleet Service GB, we showcase FSGB Fleet Management excellence through our FSGB Driver Management solution. A key component of this programme is the section we call ‘Authority to Drive,’ the onboarding and driver registration process, designed to ensure high standards of driver safety and efficiency.

Authority to Drive Registration Process

The Authority to Drive registration process is quick and efficient, taking about 25 minutes. Drivers are encouraged to complete it via the Achieve Driver App, but can use the Achieve Software Hub, or through a session with a designated manager. This flexibility accommodates different preferences, ensuring smooth registration for all drivers.

During registration, drivers provide essential information including personal details, health and safety declarations, and driving experience. They also complete a brief fitness to drive module and a DVLA licence check. This comprehensive evaluation forms the basis for their continued engagement in our FSGB Driver Management solution.

Risk Score

After registration, drivers receive a risk score, a critical element of our FSGB Driver Management solution. This score determines the need for tailored driver training to address specific risk factors. Additionally, we recommend a wellbeing workshop for all drivers, focusing on both physical and mental health to support safe driving.

Ongoing Monitoring

Ongoing monitoring is integral to our FSGB Driver Management solution. Post-registration, drivers are continuously analysed, with their risk scores constantly updated. This allows for driver support based on current driving behaviour and customisable risk levels. All of this enhances an overall risk management strategy.

Authority to Drive is a crucial part of our fleet management approach, integral to the FSGB Driver Management solution. It supports our commitment to driver safety through structured registration, continuous risk assessment, and targeted training.

The true spirit of partnership exists; it is based on trust and shared values, and every month there are examples of how beneficial the partnership is.
