Citizen Housing Communication

Welcome to our new Driver App

Going under the hood of FSGBs Achieve Driver App

Fleet Services GB (FSGB) is our new FSGB Driver Management programme. We’re excited about this powerful and easy use tool for everyone at Citizen Housing – for the fleet team, for van drivers, and for “grey fleet” car drivers who claim expenses for business trips.

Whoever you are, FSGB will make life easier. As the Hub articles (linked above) summarise, replacing the old declaration process will be a welcome change for everyone. See the summary video for other regulatory reasons why we’re introducing FSGB.

If you want to know more detail about the app, read on…

Tips for registering and using FSGB

Register promptly

The email link will expire, so please register within a couple of days of receiving your invitation to prevent delays and frustration.

You’ll need your driving licence to hand, as well as your vehicle insurance and latest service information if you use your personal vehicle for work purposes (registering as a grey fleet driver).

Be meticulous

When you do click to register, there are a few screens to get through. It’s worth reading the prompts carefully as depending on your history, you might need to fill in some key information. Typos in licence numbers or inaccurate information in your accident history could lead to delays in processing your account.

Servicing your vehicle

HSE guidance says: “Planned and preventative maintenance should be carried out in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. An MOT certificate only covers basic defects and does not guarantee a vehicle is safe.” This applies to any vehicle used for work purposes – Citizen Housing vans and personal cars.

For this reason, Citizen Housing will ask you for the last date your car was serviced when you sign up to FSGB.

If you’re unsure of when your vehicle was last serviced you should enter the date of the last MOT – but we would recommend booking a new service when due. Please discuss with the Fleet Manager if you have any queries in this area.

Rotate your phone

You can’t “pinch and zoom” so if using an iPhone, so rotating it can make it easier to complete some sections.

Improving your driver score

Anyone with an ounce of competitive spirit will notice that FSGB gives you a score and a Citizen Housing driver rank!

You can increase your personal score in a number of ways:

  • Completing the registration process, that includes driving scenario questions
  • Completing the e-learning modules promptly and with accurate answers. These are released every three months
  • Driving carefully avoiding collisions, not going over the speed limit, avoiding harsh breaking, and so on…
  • Staying compliant with eye sight declarations and other safety features

Don’t be too disappointed if you think your score is low – the main thing is to work to improve it each time you get the chance!
